Recently, in class, we were watching the movie Paths of Glory. In this movie, there were soldiers from France who were sent out to do the impossible, which was to attack the ant hill controlled by the Germans. However, they failed to do so, and 3 of the soldiers were tried in court for being cowards. They were found guilty for “not bravely serving their country.”
This kind of reminded me of what it’s like when baking or making sweets. Sometimes we like to dream big, to a point where it may seem impossible (and maybe it is). However, we still try and being able to experience this, is some of the few greatest experiences in being able to try new things. Even though sometimes, we might face failure, it’s always good to know that it’s okay. Anthony J. D’angelo, an inspirational author, once said that “in order to succeed you must fail, so that you know what to do next time”. This is what drives us to always do these fun experiments in creating sweets.
