With school coming to an end, my innovation project in English had come to an end too. It was a great experience that gave me the opportunity to work with kids and their creative sides. Being able to work on this project with friends and meet new people, I’d say that the project overall was incredible. We learned new things along the way and built friendships. When an obstacle got in the way, we creatively found a way to overcome it. There’s no limit if you try. Continue reading
So, Mother’s Day is coming up, and I found a fun and unique gift that is great to give to all those moms out there! 🙂 Instead of just giving an ordinary box of chocolates, why not sweeten things up and surprise your mom by using a book to use as a hideout for the candies! (She’ll never see it coming haha) 😛 Just take any book of choice and cut out some pages in the book to put the candies in. I think this idea is the cutest thing ever, and it’s a great way to creatively recycle a book.
You can find out more about how to recreate this idea here: http://www.brit.co/life-is-like-a-book-of-chocolates/

Hey guys! Remember when I mentioned about how my class and I were participating in an innovation project in our class? Well, my friend recently showed me a site called “The Journal,” and there was food art! Omg..they were so cute. Who would’ve thought you could make so many kinds of picture and art from just food?! These people took something ordinary such as food and innovated it into beautiful art. I remember when I was little, I was told to never play with food, but I think making the food into works of art invites the kids to want to eat their food more! It gets them excited to eat their food, especially if they look that fun! 🙂 I thought these creative innovations were so brilliant I just had to share it with you guys! 🙂 Hope you have a great week~
People have their own perspective on everything. We are all unique individuals who see things differently through our own eyes, and our thoughts reflect that. In class, there was this talk about everyone being their own shade of grey. It portrays their range of thoughts. In the color scale ranging from black to white, even though one might think that he is in the color shade of white, he is still in the color shade of grey. Not black. Not white. Grey. Our creative minds allow us to have an infinite number of thoughts in which they may lean toward the dark color of black or just white. However, it all results in a grey area no matter what. So what shade of grey do you find yourself in?
Have you ever thought what it might be like if the world began to rain food like in the movie “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”? The movie focuses on how the main character, Flint Lockwood, always wanted to make a difference and create something new despite of being discouraged by the people around him. His enthusiasm for inventing is what keeps him motivated to continue. Although many of his creative inventions usually end up in failure, Flint doesn’t give up. When the only source of revenue for the town is gone, Flint takes it as his opportunity to build a machine that would change water into food. However, things turned out differently than what Flint expected. He ended up changing the weather and making it rain food in the town of Swallow Falls!
