Hope you guys had a great week! This week I found out about Chips Ahoy’s Ice Cream Creations! They’re the company’s new cookies that taste like ice cream! Wait whaaat?!?! Yup. You got that right! Chips Ahoy came out with four flavors for their Ice Cream Creations line: Dulce de Leche, Mint Chocolate Chip, Mocha Chunk, and Root Beer Float. It reminded me about the innovation projects we’re doing in English class and how there are so many things out there that could be invented. They could be inspired by anything. With Chips Ahoy newly invented cookie flavors, I think I might find myself going to the store and looking for these ice cream-inspired cookies creations to snack on with a glass of milk! 🙂 What do you guys think of the cookies?

This week, my class and I did presentations on our blogs in English class. We talked about how are blogs were growing, our favorite comments, favorite posts, changes that were made, things we’re still struggling with, and basically analyzing our blog to show how we’re doing with our blogs. It wasn’t about how many views or likes you had (although having them is nice); it was about how much time and effort you put into your blog. The more work you put into your blog, the more fantastic it will look! Make it so you’re buzzing with so much joy, you can’t wait to share it with everyone! Everybody may not take interest in it, but hey, it’s your work, and you’re proud of it. You are your own audience.
Many of us have taken our finals already so all I can say is yaaaaaay! It has been such a stressful and tiring week that after finals were over, I literally knocked out…(shows how sleep deprived I was haha). Whenever finals are over, we always get the satisfaction of being able to relax again. It’s like being able to take a breath of fresh air and feeling free! Continue reading
In English class, we are currently reading A Tale of Two Cities. After reading the first chapter, my class had a detailed discussion about what the chapter title (“The Period”) emphasized. We were basically picking the whole thing apart. One suggestion came up, and it was that the title talked about a time of change. Life is always changing, either for “the best of times” or “the worst of times.” During the Age of Discovery, the world was progressing to make a change. This leads to how new desserts are constantly being created and reinvented even if they become the best ones or the worst. The process won’t stop, and the recipes it leaves behind will be kept and improved on for ages.
“There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things we now know we don’t know. But there are also unknown unknowns. These are the things we do not know we don’t know.” -Donald Rumsfeld
The unknown unknowns are like surprises and mysteries. It is unexpected. We never know what it will be or what to make of it. It’s like cutting into a cake, only to find something totally unexpected in it. I mean, who would’ve thought that there would be a bunch of candies inside this cake?
